Hello precious ones,

I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas! As we are approaching 2016, I wanted to introduce you to a brand new project that I am embarking on – I am calling it The Faithful Village.

In honor of this season in which we celebrate Jesus’ entrance into the world as a baby, I would like to honor Him with my very first post.

Jesus said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father” (John 14:9). When He was on earth, Jesus was the perfect representation of God in human form – He is God! And what do the Gospels tell us Jesus was like? Kind, courageous, bold, gentle, wise, loving, healing, restoring, forgiving, the list goes on… We can see glimpses of these same qualities in those around us, even as imperfect as we all are. We can learn from each other. We can love each other well. This is our Faithful Village. For more on the purpose of this blog see What is the Faithful Village?

And with that, I would like to dedicate this blog to You, Jesus – God with us, Light of the world, truest of Friends. Happy Birthday. Thank You for coming to this world. You are the reason I have hope and joy in my life. May we all become more like You.

So I say to all my friends and family, and whoever else might stumble upon this post: At times like Christmas when you are with family and friends, take time to appreciate the unique, God-given wonder of who they are.

With hope and appreciation,
